No Sugar 30 Day Challenge

I am starting a No Sugar 30 Day Challenge tomorrow (February 22nd). Over the next 30 days I would like you to follow me on my journey, and join me if you would like to.  With this 30 day challenge I will be cutting out all sugar (including the nasty High Fructose Corn Syrup and other refined sugars that are found in almost everything processed and packaged).  I do have two exceptions--Stevia and local raw honey (Both of these are good alternatives to refined sugars).

Stevia is a naturally sweet herb native to South America.  It comes in both liquid and powder form and can be found in most health food stores. The liquid form works great in coffee and is much healthier then refined, processed sugars.  I have been using Stevia for months in my coffee as well as some baked goods. I have slowly been experimenting with replacing regular refined sugar for Stevia and so far it has worked great!  Now you may wonder why I am making the exception to sugar in coffee, but giving up my morning coffee and sugar in one month would not be good for the people around me!

The other exception I am making is using honey as a sweetener in my smoothies and Greek yogurt. This can also be found in most health food stores.

In place of the foods and drinks loaded with sugar I will be eating more fruits & vegetables and drinking lots of water.  I hope you will follow me on this journey and join  me if you desire.  I know this culture makes it extremely easy for us to eat unhealthy, but I am committed to making small steps to a healthier lifestyle.  Check in on a daily basis for updates on what I ate during the day and how I am overcoming my cravings.  I hope you will keep me accountable! I am also going to be giving you wonderful educational information all month relating to this challenge.   So are you in????
