December is going WAY TO FAST!!! Has everyone finished Christmas shopping? I finished today! Now it is time to start baking.
Every December at work we have and annual blood drive. This is my second year to participate! This year was extra fun because after donating blood I received a Paula Deen apron! If you have not donated blood, I encourage you to go and donate this time of year. They are always in need around the holidays. Go to to find a blood drive near you.
For those of you who are Paula Deen fans, check out her website here
Last night I made my first batch of my Amish Friendship Bread, it was VERY good! Did anyone begin their own starter from the recipe I posted? How did it work??
Visit Love, Chloe Foundation for a fun opportunity happening in Salina. It will be a day filled with scrapbooking, stamping, or any other craft things people do! The Love, Chloe Foundation is having a "Create, Craft, Crop, Or Just Monkey Around" fundraiser for "There's a monkey in my chair" program. This program provides a package for kids fighting brain tumors. The package includes a monkey for them to leave in their school chair while they are out of the classroom for treatments.
This foundation was set up in memory of a little girl named Chloe here in Salina. She was diagnosed with a brain tumor and was not able to beat the tumor! Find out more about this wonderful little girl and the legacy her memory is leaving for other kids fitting brain tumors. Check it out here
If any of you are interested in participating in the crop, Brenden and I would love to have you stay with us, just let me know! I will be there the entire time--I am having a Pampered Chef booth in the vendor fair and also scrapbooking!
Hope all of you are enjoying this Christmas season!
