I have been busy with moving preparations which is why there have been no posts in the last couple of weeks. I am sitting at my dining room table for one last time before it is loaded on the moving truck and decided I would do a post.
Yesterday the movers packed the house while my dad and I sat on the couch all day watching TV. I have to say that it was the most boring day I have had in A.LONG.TIME! I don't understand how people stay home (when they don't have kids of course) and not go crazy! I could not wait to get out of the house and do something last night.
Today they are loading the moving truck. It rained all night and most of the morning. God is great because it stopped raining shortly after the movers arrived this morning!
This week has been full of many emotions--excited, sad (cried a couple times already), stressed, nervous, and many more! I'm so excited to move to Alabama for a new adventure and to FINALLY see Brenden again. By the time I get to see him again we will have been separated for 5 weeks and only talked on the phone 5-6 times. I have no idea how we made it through the long deployments during the war!
Even though I am excited to see B again and have a fun adventure in Alabama, it is difficult to leave friends and family. I'm blessed to have the opportunity to keep my job and work from home while in Alabama. This will allow me to stay in touch with the wonderful friends I have made at work. Girls, I will miss you dearly and look forward to seeing you again on my work trips to KS! Most of my family lives in Kansas and the farthest I have lived from my parents is 3 hours. I know I am blessed to have lived so close to them, but it makes it even harder knowing how far away I will be from them. There will be no more weekend trips to see friends and family in the Wichita area.
Here are some pictures of what my house looked like earlier today. I will begin my weekly posts again this next week--Menu Plan Monday & Wednesday Meanderings.

The moving truck in front of the house!
Boxes, boxes, and more boxes!
The movers just left and I am sitting in a near empty house. I'm off to see my mom and grandpa for the weekend.
