Now time to find a graduation dress. If you missed my post on possible graduation dress options, check it out and let me know which one you like.
Speaking of dresses, trying them on always makes me realize I like to eat to much! Along with loving food + eating, I also love cookbooks.

Even though I have a thing for cookbooks, I always struggle buying them since they are usually not the cheapest kind of book to buy. I like my cookbooks to be filled with quality pictures of every recipe. If a cookbook does not have pictures I usually will not purchase.
My list of cookbooks has grown a lot in the last few months since I have switched to a more gluten free and paleo type eating plan. I have wanted to buy a few in the last couple months, but since we are moving soon I decided to will wait until we get moved, find a house, and get settled. So in the meantime, I thought it would be fun to share some of the cookbooks I hope to add to my collection soon.
I was able to get a few of my grandma's old cookbooks and can not wait to sit down and take the time to go through them--many times! I left them at with my parent's house since I inherited them since we have lived in AL.
I've never been to this bakery,
but would love to someday!
Love Smitten Kitchen blog,
so I would love to get Deb's cookbook!
I have heard great things about this cookbook,
so it made the list.
Hello, I love to bake so I need a gluten free cupcake cookbook!
The story behind this cookbook is great.
Check the story out here.
I do not have a good slow cooker cookbook,
and this one looks like a winner.
I started following In Jennie's Kitchen blog a year or two ago & love how she includes stories with her recipe posts.
Again, I need some good paleo cookbooks. Diane is another blogger I follow + I also love Diane's Balanced Bites podcast she does with Liz Wolfe of Cave Girl Eats.
Bakers must have great baking cookbooks,
so this is one I want to add to my collection!
The authors of this book (which is not out yet) blog at
The Food Lovers Kitchen, another blog I love.
Ok, I know a lot of these are cookbooks from bloggers. BUT they are all excellent cookbooks in my opinion!
Joy The Baker blog and her podcast with Tracy from
Shutterbean (also a blogger) are both fabulous.
Michael's books are excellent,
but I have not read this one yet so it is on my list!
That is my long wish-list of cookbooks! I can not wait to add some of these to my collection.
Do you like cookbooks or would you rather just find recipes online or in magazines? What is your all time favorite cookbook?

This is a nice collection. I have friends who showcase their cookbooks...like art, I guess. The recipes I use the most are scribbled on envelopes, receipts, and random scraps of paper and stuffed in a little white box, though I love looking through a bargain Sunset Magazine Recipe Annual from 1997...Just the pictures inspire me. I also recently acquired a very vintage Better Homes cookbook. Aspics. There's aspics in it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your favorites! I'm bookmarking for future reference...I liked the dinnertime love story video you linked to. Lynaea @ EveryDayBloom.com
I would love to have a kitchen big enough someday to showcase my cookbooks! Until then I will dream about it through pinterest :) I also have recipes scribbled on note books, usually ones I have created myself and just never taken the time to type up & print. So glad you enjoyed the list!
