My Life--The Short Version

I'm participating in a May blogging challenge--blog everyday.  This should be interesting!

Today’s prompt is “The Story of My Life in 250 words or less." So here is my life in abbreviated form....

I am 34 years young.  I was born and raised in Kansas, older sister to a little brother that has been taller than me most of my life.  I hold no grudges!  I also have an older half-brother.

My parents are amazing and have been a great example for me throughout my life.  I am very honored + blessed to call them mom & dad.

We moved around several times as I grew up which has helped me embrace change and meet new friends throughout life.  With every move I formed wonderful friendships, some that I still hold dear to my heart. 

I graduated from high school with a class of 4--yes FOUR! I have always been very independent + could not wait to leave town after graduation.  I headed to a great little college town to attend a small Christian college + Kansas State University (Go Cats!).  I majored in family ministry/social work. I completed college and have not "officially" used my degree in any of my jobs.  

I had to kiss several frogs before I found my “one.”  A wonderful soldier swept me off my feet and I have enjoyed 10 great years being married to my best friend.  We have had great adventures together and I can’t wait to see what the next 10 years holds for us.  One of those adventures was moving to Alabama, which has been so much fun! But we are starting a new adventure soon as we move back to Kansas.
