Whatcha' Cookin' for Memorial Day? {Giveaway}

This weekend is one usually filled with camping, boating, swimming, barbecues, picnics, and much more!  As a kid we almost always went camping on Memorial Day weekend so I have great memories of this holiday. Even though everyone is celebrating a 3 (or 4) day weekend with family and friends, it is a holiday that is far more important than food + fun.

Memorial Day is to honor those that have sacrificed their lives for our freedom in this great U.S.A. This holiday, like many of the holidays that honor our soldiers, hits close to home since I'm a military wife.  During your fun + festivities this weekend please remember the sacrifices that have been made by many so all of us can enjoy a few days off with friends or family.

Since this is generally a weekend with lots of cooking I thought this would be a great time to giveaway a couple fun things that are kitchen related.  Some of the best gifts I have ever received have been kitchen/cooking/baking related!

The winner will receive a pack of paper straws from Paper Goods Creative and a pack of fun recipe cards.

Fine Print: To enter the giveaway, use the rafflecopter below.  Giveaway will run today through Monday at midnight.  Winner will be announced on Tuesday.  You will have 48 hours to respond or another winner will be drawn.  I purchased these myself for the giveaway.

  4. Memorial day is the tribute to our brave soldiers. A beautiful cherished memorial card can make our tribute very special. I always use a card on such occasions and having few words either of my own that I feel for the person or a holy prayer.
