To celebrate we decided to go eat a Kirby House in Abilene. Check out their website here for more details on the history of The Kirby House. Brenden and I both enjoyed hand breaded country fried steak, which is the best I have ever eaten! We finished our meal by sharing a piece of turtle cheesecake and espresso drinks from their coffee bar.
Here are some pictures we took. Sorry, we didn't take any of the inside! As you can see in the pictures the house is several stories tall. Brenden and I took a tour of the house and ended up climbing ALL the stairs to the top floor, which included a VERY skinny and steep stairway. The top room had a table for 2, which would be a romantic dinner if you were interested in climbing the stairs! I definitely would not want to be the waitress for that table.
