I'm Uncomfortable! {May Blog Challenge}

I'm back for Day 3 of the May Blogging Challenge--Blog Everyday of May! If you have missed the first two days, I wrote about My Life-The Short Version + My 10 Basic Baking Tips. Today's prompt for blogging is things that make you uncomfortable.

These might be some faces I make when I'm feeling uncomfortable!

Here is what makes me feel uncomfortable,  in no certain order:
  • CENTER OF ATTENTION.  I hate being the center of attention. I am always uncomfortable when I have to be recognized for something, or called out in a crowd while everyone turns to look at me.  Ummm, are you looking at me right now?
  • WEIRD FOODS. For me this is MOST meats and seafood.  I just can not handle them and always hope I'm not put in a situation where I should eat the weird food but really do not want to for fear I might gag.  I have had to experience this a few times. One of those times was in college.  I was traveling with a dance group and we stayed at host families during our travels.  We usually ate a meal or two with the families, so I always wondered what I would have to eat.  One evening we stayed with an older couple and they served us pork chops.  Now you may be laughing because I think pork chops is a weird food, but to me they are weird and I do not like them.  I have tried them numerous times, I have even made them myself at home and I never like the texture or flavor of them.  So if you ever invite me over for dinner please do not feed me weird meats or seafood, unless you want me to feel uncomfortable!
  • CONFRONTATION.  You do not have to know me very well to figure out I probably do not like confrontation.  In fact, I hate it.  I have learned to deal with it better as I have grown older, but it still gives me a nervous stomach when I have to confront someone about an issue or problem.
  • UNNECESSARY DRAMA.  Really women? Do you always have to cause so much drama among a group of friends/acquaintances?!?!  I do not notice it as much when we are living the civilian life, but being active duty again has reminded me how much drama really goes on among women. I don't have time for that!  I have always hated and avoided drama. I remember as a child having friends that were so emotional, dramatic, and up + down with their feelings. Sorry girls, get over yourself and grow up! See why I did not pursue helping people in the social work field--I would tell everyone to just get over it and grow up?!?!? I have learned to just avoid the drama and most of the time I'm oblivious to it even going on until someone mentions it and I'm like, "oh I had no idea." hahaha.
  • FOOD ON FACE.  I had to add this one because when I asked B earlier today the things he thought made me uncomfortable his responses were:  "shoes being on too tight", "needing to go to the bathroom", and finally "when I put food on my face to embarrass you in public."  Obviously he really did not understand my question, but his last answer is something that used to make me feel uncomfortable, but after knowing him for 13 years it doesn't really bother me THAT much.  When we first started dating he loved to put food on his face and sit there like he didn't know it was there, especially when he knew a waitress would be stopping by the table soon! Silly boys.
  • PUBLIC SPEAKING.  I hate speaking in front of large crowds. I think it is mainly because I am horrible at just standing up and speaking from memory without an official speech or notes in front of me. I never say what I really want to say and I'm not one of those natural speakers. I wish I was great at it, but I really don't want to practice to become great because that means doing what makes me uncomfortable!
  • TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF.  I never know how to answer this question.  It always makes me feel like a loser because when I think about what I like to do and what makes me "me" I'm not sure what to say.  I do not really have any hobbies other than baking and scrap-booking (which at this point I hate because I'm so dang far behind).  So every time I have to answer this question, or a question similar to this, I feel like I am the world's most boring person.  Which may be a correct statement!
What makes you uncomfortable? I hope that I have not lost any readers after this list, because they think I'm weird. Hey, maybe that makes me uncomfortable to.  But I'm proud of my weirdness, just ask B!
