I usually just plan my menu a week at a time because B's schedule changes all the time. This week he is working late again so I'm on my own for dinners. You know what that means? I get to eat things he doesn't like. Dinners with veggies and onions are the greatest!
I write down our meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner but I have been tempted to do it all electronically. Since I'm on my computer so much I haven't switched to an electronic format because it is nice to have it written down and hanging on the fridge. If you are interested in planning your menu electronically here is a great tutorial on using Google Calendars for menu planning.
Here is what
Breakfasts and lunches I will have my protein smoothies. I will have healthy snacks in the morning and afternoon. Here are some snack options: green apples, strawberries, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, and protein balls (recipe to follow in the next week or so). What are your favorite snacks to eat during the day?
Monday: Summer Squash & Corn Chowder (I had this on the menu last week but did not end up making it).
Tuesday: Leftovers. Busy day so don't want to take time to make dinner!
Wednesday: Spaghetti & Meat Sauce (using rice pasta so it is gluten free). Fruit and Veggies.
Thursday: Black Bean Soup. Fruit and Veggies.
Friday: Leftovers because who likes to cook on Friday nights? Not me!
Saturday: Sloppy Joes (Gluten Free Buns). Fruits and Veggies.
Sunday: Tacos (Gluten Free Tortillas) with homemade salsa using tomatoes from the garden and homemade guacamole. Fruit.
What are you eating this week? When do you normally do your menu planning and grocery shopping?
